Introduction to Deliverance and Spiritual Warfare

Some Definitions Before We Begin:

A Christian who casts out demons from people is usually referred to as a “Deliverance Minister”.

Deliverance is when a person is delivered (set free) from a demon.

Spiritual Warfare consists of the following:

•   Casting out demons
•   Delivering people from satan
•   Training people in Spiritual Warfare
•   Teaching people the commands of Jesus
•   Removing curses and magic spells
•   Taking physical land for God’s Kingdom (This is NOT done by physical war)

Intro:

It is important to know that demons are everywhere in this age (2024).  It is common for a normal person to have hundreds, if not thousands, of demons on them, in them, and / or following them.  There exists a theology that states: “Christains cannot have demons.”  This theology is false.  Tracing this theology’s origins, I discovered that it came to be because the person who invented it could not find any Christians in the New Testament who had demons.

The reality is this: if you sin, then demons have legal grounds to be with you. You have to be perfect, as Jesus is perfect, to have no legal grounds for demons to be on you, but which human is without sin? This world is a place of testing. It is a place for you to choose your allegiance: to align with Jesus or satan. Due to this, demons are forced to tempt you, even if you don’t have sin.  Even satan, himself, tempted Jesus in the desert after Jesus did a 40 day fast.  If Jesus was tempted by satan, then you certainly will be tempted by demons, or do you think yourself better than Jesus?

Demons Affecting / Influencing People:

Everyone has demons messing with them throughout the day.  This is a normal thing.  And most of this is within the mind – through thoughts.  People can hear the spiritual realm, but they don’t recognize it.  In fact, the voices they hear, they think are their own personal thoughts.  In reality, most of people’s thoughts are spiritual beings (usually demons) talking to them.  And demons control people by pretending to be their thoughts.  Did Paul not tell us to take every thought captive (2 Cor 10:5)?  This is because most of our thoughts are not our own, but demons talking to us.

Another way demons control people is by manipulating their emotions. Demons can change a person’s emotional state (How? Such things are advanced and will be explained in other documents.)  And demons harm people with diseases, sickness, and bodily damage.  If someone is sick, diseased, or their body is broken in one way or another, then demons will certainly be involved.  A lot of the sicknesses are brought about by demons.  Get rid of the demons and the sickness will go away (except in the event that the body is damaged).  Demons, also, cause the symptoms of sickness, and cause the symptoms to be worse.

So How Do We Deal With the Demons?

The only way to deal with them is with the authority of Jesus.  If a witch, warlock, voodoo priest, witch doctor, or some other magic practitioner tries to remove a demon, they cannot.  They usually just add more demons.  You cannot remove demons without Jesus.  And there are other things that need to be considered, too, like curses, legal grounds, and the authority Jesus has given you to remove the demons.

The bulk of the following information gives some basic knowledge you must know before you can cast demons off.  Do not skip it, not unless you already know it.  After knowing the basics, then you can venture into casting demons off.  If you want to try to cast demons off without knowing the basics, then go ahead, but it can become traumatizing – literally.

Having the Authority to Remove Demons:

It is Jesus’ authority that removes demons. Jesus gives you the power and authority over the enemy when you make Him your Lord.  Jesus is the one who is in control of your life when He is Lord – not you, your spouse, or someone else. Jesus needs to be the one who dictates how your life goes. He has a purpose for you on this planet and you need to be on that path if you want to be allowed to use His authority.

When it comes to Jesus’ authority, there are different levels of that authority. You do not automatically get Jesus’ full authority just because you are a Christian (some Christians may believe they do).  If you do not believe this, then command a bar of gold to manifest with the authority of Jesus.  Did it happen? Jesus could do it if He were on Earth. Better yet, command a planet to come into existence, or even a galaxy. Did you get your planet? Jesus does this all day long (during the 6th day).

The level of the authority of Jesus that we are granted to use and exercise is based upon whether we have proven ourselves worthy of that level of authority. I will give you an example of authority using some army ranks, so consider this ranking list from lowest to highest:

1)   Basic Soldier
2)   Corporal
3)   Sergeant
4)   Officer
5)   Lieutenant
6)   Captain
7)   Major
8)   Colonel
9)   General

At the lowest level, the basic soldier is hardly going to have any authority, but has the skills, abilities, and basic weapons to fight the enemy. (At this level, you have access to the least amount of Jesus’ authority.) While Generals are capable of commanding the whole army and has access to all weapons to use to fight the enemy, including the most powerful of weapons. (Generals have access to a great amount of Jesus’ authority.)

Every (real) Christian starts off as a Basic Soldier. They have to fight against demons, win their battles, and prove themselves worthy to rank up to a higher rank. (These people don’t give up when it gets hard.) Why is this important? Because demons have ranks, too. Your weakest of demons are like little gangsters, who think they are something special. A Basic Soldier (Christian) should be able to take out the weakest of demons and even demons who are trained to be Basic Soldiers. But a Basic Soldier will have a harder time with a higher ranking demon (because they are stronger).

Higher ranking demons usually are in command of a group of demons below them. In deliverance, they are almost always referred to as “principalities,” “captains,” or “strong man” – remember this. When one of these demons are on a human, they are usually referred to as “captains” or “strong man”. When a demon resides over a section of physical earth (physical property, land, businesses, buildings, churches**, cities, counties, provinces, states, countries, or even the planet) they are usually referred to as “principalities”.

(**Note: Yes, demons can and DO rule over many different Christian churches. This happens when they go off the narrow path.)

Captain demons take longer for a Basic Solder to remove, so do not be surprised if you have to fight with the thing for hours, days, or even weeks before it comes off. Hopefully, it will not take months or longer. But as you continue to prevail against such creatures, then you will rank up and they will become easier to cast off (and take less time, too).

Principalities are not to be taken lightly. Many deliverance ministers teach that you should not attack principalities, and there is a good reason for this. People who go against principalities have a chance of dying or they end up beat up pretty badly.

When you go up against a principality of a city or country, you do not go up against a single powerful bad guy. You go up against a single powerful bad guy plus his entire army and his friends and their armies. If they feel threatened, they will call in reinforcements from Hell or from other cities / countries. So in total, you could be facing millions of demons if you attack a city principality, or even billions of demons if you attack a country-level principality. That is why people die when they attack city and country-level principalities.

Your Personal Authority:

As previously stated, a Christian starts off as a Basic Soldier. So, what does this mean authority-wise? It means that you have the authority to remove the low-class / weak demons from yourself. Usually fighting demons starts with self deliverance. You must fight and tangle with the demons until you win the war. There will be many battles until the war is won.

Sometimes those battles go on for months or years. Sometimes they are very short. Sometimes it is with the same demon. Sometimes it is with many demons. And sometimes it is with many demons that pretend to be the same demon to discourage you. As you win your wars, you will gain more experience and will gain more authority as you prove yourself worthy to wield it.

As you win against your demons, you will be able to war against other people’s demons. Then you can do deliverance on others. Then you will get chances to remove demons from homes and buildings. If you have the desire, you can go even higher and start with city-level spiritual warfare. And you can keep going from there to country-level and world-level spiritual warfare if you so desire.  But you will have to pass the tests that Jesus puts you through with spiritual warfare. And you will have to be trained on how to do it. And you will have to persevere through it all.

If you do not have the authority of Jesus, then you will not win against even the weakest of demons.

Fighting Battles:

Note that, previously, I said that you would have to fight “wars” – as in plural. There is not just one war with demons. You get to fight a war for each sin, curse, magic spell on you, trouble, hurt, and problem you have, including the new ones you get as you live life. The more like Jesus you become, the less wars you have to fight (on a personal self deliverance level). In the end, after the all wars are won, you end up with small daily encounters with demons as they try to talk to you or tempt you. And you flick them away in a short time.

There exists the other option: giving up the war against them and quitting in defeat. Once you give up, you won’t be able to wield your authority (it doesn’t mean that you won’t have the very basic amount of authority, it just means that you won’t be able to wield it anymore, because you will be “disabled” through your own “giving up / defeat”).  If you held a high level of authority, Jesus can take it away from you if you give up.

I know of a person who had a deliverance ministry. That person had a face to face encounter with satan, himself. That person became afraid and gave up. That deliverance ministry was destroyed and never recovered. Don’t be like that person. Don’t give up, even if you have an encounter with satan, himself.

Once you start the fight against demons, you cannot give up.  There is no going back to the old lifestyle you once had. Either you push forward and become a powerhouse, or you give up and things get significantly worse than they were before you started your fight against demons. Demons will get revenge on you once you give up and things will just go badly for you from then on.

Many people in deliverance tend to reach a certain point with their spiritual warfare advancement and stop there.  Not everyone is capable of becoming a powerhouse that can take down city-level principalities. Very few are capable of tangling with country-level principalities, and even far less are capable of facing world-level principalities.  The goal is to be able to be able to do deliverance on yourself, others, and personal property.  Aim for that and if you feel as though you can handle more, ask God to move you into city-level spiritual warfare.

This is something to note: Demons will constantly try to get you to stop warring against them. They will try everything they know of. They will use fear, threats, attacks, your loved ones, friends, people, and situations in an attempt to get you to stop. But do not give up; keep pushing forward.

The Basics of Deliverance

Intro:

Doing deliverance (setting people (captives) free from demons) usually requires a few steps. To understand this you will need to know some of the basics of the legalities of the spiritual realm, and how to deal with them.

Legal Grounds:

Legal Grounds can be the following: contracts, assignments, sin, curses, want (the desire to have something), body damage, life circumstances, hurts, and spiritual damage.

Everything in spiritual warfare is about legal grounds.  Demons are not allowed to do anything unless they have the legal grounds to do it. Demons are very careful to make sure they have the legal grounds to do things, because if they cross the line and do something illegal, they will be imprisoned in the bottomless pit (AKA the Abyss, which is in Hell) and they will not be released until Judgment Day.  Angels must have legal grounds to operate in this world, too.  But their legal grounds are different from what demons require.

(NOTE: demons are allowed to tempt you to gain legal grounds.  Meaning that a demon without legal grounds can be around you to tempt you. When it succeeds, then it has legal grounds to be on you, so it will jump on or in your physical body. Or maybe it will just follow you around.)

Now, let’s explain the different types of legal grounds:

Sin:

Sin is whenever you disobey Jesus or you do something that contests His commands.

Contracts:

There exists contracts in the spiritual realm.  Contracts bind demons to you and / or your family line. These can be made when a person has an agreement with a demon. Contracts can be made when you are in perpetual sin (meaning you refuse to get out of sin). A contract can be made when you want a demon to be there.  Contracts exists in generational curses. Contracts can be formed when you refuse to forgive people. And there are many more ways for contracts to be established between a person and a demon.

Assignments:

Demons have superiors. Oftentimes, superiors will order their subordinates to do something to you or attempt to gain legal grounds. And demons do those things simply because they were ordered to do so by their superior.

Curses:

There are three types of curses: generational, magic type curses, and word curses.

Generational curses come from when someone in your family committed a sin and it caused a demon (or set of demons) to be on them and the family line for multiple generations.  Duet: 28 covers some of those curses, but not all of them.

Magic type curses is when a witch, shaman, warlock, or some other person who practices magic puts a curse on you.

Word curses are curses that are established over you because of what people say about you. If anyone says anything bad or negative about you (even calling you names), including yourself, even if it is a joke, then those words are written either on you, around you, or both. And that becomes a legal ground for a demon to be on you. Name calling, excuses, belittling, complaints, blame, gossip, slander, and jokes all become word curses – this is speaking “death”.  Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Speaking “death” can put curses over people, creatures, places, things, and spiritual beings, such as: demons, angels, and God.

(For a basic example: calling someone “stupid” is a word curse that establishes stupidity. Also, whatever you complain about becomes a curse and demons must make those things happen to you. And finally: if you make an excuse saying “Sorry, my brain stopped working…” this establishes a curse that will cause your thought process to stop working.)

Want – if you want a demon to be there, then it will form a contract with you and it will stay with you. For example: if you have a problem or issue, but you make an excuse for that problem or issue, then you form a contract with the demon(s) that is causing the problem or issue. Be careful of what you accept. Be careful of what you accept as “normal,” because the demon will form a contract and become a normal part of your life.

Body Damage is when your body is physically broken or damaged. And that damage could even be chemical or biological imbalances. If you are sick, then demons will come in and try to make you sicker. If you have an injury and it has pain, then pain demons will inhabit the injury to make the pain worse.

(Demons will tell you that you are getting sick because you sneezed or coughed. If you accept what they tell you, then you will create legal grounds for a demon of sickness to make you sick – and such a demon is capable of finding the proper sickness bacteria or virus and bringing it to you so it can infect you.)

Life Circumstances – this is complex and long, with an infinite different number of possibilities. How you live your life, who you let into your life,  who you keep in your life, your job, your activities, and where you live, can all affect the demons that mess with you or gain legal grounds to you.

Hurts – unhealed hurts grant access for demons to remind you of those hurts and traumatize you with them. Demons will manipulate people by using their hurts in order to lead a person to do the evil that the demon intends. Holding onto unforgiveness will separate you from God and can keep you from hearing Him. Holding onto unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, and resentment creates legal grounds for demons to be on you and to torment you with those things.

Unforgiveness is very hard to feel; usually, people do not feel it, so it goes unnoticed. Bitterness can be mistaken for anger. Hatred and anger is not an on / off thing, whether you have it or not. It exists in quantity: you can have an atom-sized amount or a universe-sized amount of anger or hatred. Even an atom-sized amount of hatred is a problem that has to be dealt with, because any amount of hatred gives access to demons. Note: small amounts of hatred cannot be felt.  Pretty much every time you get emotionally hurt, hatred is established, even if it is a small amount that cannot be felt.

Spiritual Damage – this is slightly complicated (and I wrote a book on it), but I will go over some basics: Spiritually, you are 2 “parts”: soul and spirit.

Your soul consists of your mind, Will, and emotions. Your mind is your knowledge, memory, thoughts, comprehension, and belief system. The rest should be self explanatory.

Your soul has the ability to be damaged and even fragmented. It can be torn into pieces, too. Every time you emotionally get hurt, your soul is damaged. When you get physically hurt, your soul can be damaged, because physical pain causes an emotional response. Unforgiveness, bitterness, resentment, hatred, and other negative feelings can cause damage to your soul.  The damage on the soul can be seen by spiritual beings (this included demons). Every place where your soul is damaged can be a legal ground for a demon to be on you.

Your knowledge can be legal grounds for demons to be on you. If you are taught a false theology and you accept it as true, then you will certainly get a contract with a demon to enforce that false theology. Ever wonder why people fight over their theologies and can get angry and hateful about it? It is because they are controlled by that demon they are contracted with – meaning that the theology they are arguing about is a lie or has the lie in it.

Your Will, will enable either the ways of God in your life or the ways of satan in your life. If it is your will to do something sinful and to stay sinful, then you will contract (a) demon(s) and you will keep it / them until you change your Will.

Your spirit is the breath of life from God. It gives you life. If your soul is separated from your spirit, you die and cease to function. Your spirit integrates into the body you are given (either physical or spiritual) and takes that shape. (No this is not in the Bible. I had to directly talk to God about these details to find them out.)

Your spirit is special, because it has your purpose on Earth (your blueprint) written on the inside of it. It also has God’s Law (which is all the commands of Jesus) written on the inside of it, too. On the outside of your spirit is everything that you accept as true, including all of the curses that you accepted into your life. Even if something is actually a demonic lie and you accepted it as true, then it is written upon your spirit. Everything you do and say is also written on the outside of your spirit, including all of your sins. Any spiritual being can read your spirit like a book. And demons do read your spirit like a book to find any legal grounds so that they can be with you.

As you can see, there are lots of ways for a demon to gain legal grounds to be on a person. What I presented was a very basic and vague list of ways demons can gain legal grounds to you.  The actual list is WAY larger, more complex, and extensive. Trying to memorize all of it is out of the question. Instead, it is better to rely upon the Holy Spirit to show you or tell you what the legal grounds for a demon are. Sometimes general prayer works to remove the legal grounds. Sometimes prayer has to be specific to the point.

In order to do deliverance, you will need to find the legal grounds for a demon to be there.  Then you will need to remove the legal grounds. Afterwards, you can cast off the demon.

Forgiveness of Sin:

One of the most common legal grounds is sin. If you want to break the legal grounds, then you will need to repent of the sin and then ask God to forgive you for that sin. Simple as that. However, there are some sins that are generational, meaning that it is a sin from someone in your family line (these are usually called “generational curses”). If that is true, then you would need to repent and ask God for the forgiveness of their sin to break the legal grounds.

The rest of this is information dispelling false theologies.

Some theologies teach that when a person says their salvation prayer and gets saved, all of their sin and curses are automatically removed and they become sinless (or something). I asked God whether the salvation prayer (that I read) would cause the person to have their sins forgiven. God replied with, “Did they ask to have their sins forgiven?” After rereading it, the answer was “no.”

Nowhere in the salvation prayer I read did it ask for God to forgive them. So, I read other salvation prayers. And barely any of them asked God to forgive them of their sins. You have to ask God for forgiveness if you want forgiveness. If you do not ask, then you will not receive.

This is what you need to understand about Jesus dying on the cross: Sin drives a wedge between us and God. In order to be reconciled with God, someone / some creature has to die for that sin. That is why there was animal sacrifice in ancient times.  The sin would be placed upon the animal and it would suffer the consequences of that sin, which is death. (Rom 6:23 says that our wages for sin is death.)

Animal sacrifices were only a temporary solution and only covered the sins you acknowledged and repented for. And sacrifices constantly had to be made (because people constantly sinned) so that you could remove that separation from God that endless sin created. The sacrifice of Jesus, however, was the ultimate sacrifice that accounted for all sins in the past, present, and future.  Thanks to this, we can fulfill our purpose without having to worry about losing our connection to God.

But you still need to acknowledge your wrongness in your sins and repent for them. The blood of Jesus is there for the forgiveness of sins, but it doesn’t make all sins automatically disappear. To achieve forgiveness, you need 4 different things: the sacrifice (already completed through Jesus), you need repentance, you need to forgive others (and be willing to), and you need to ask for forgiveness.  Repentance is turning away from doing that sin. If you lack any of the four, then don’t expect forgiveness of sins.

Power to Fight Demons:

The power to fight demons comes from the Holy Spirit. You receive authority from Jesus and power (like fighting strength) from the Holy Spirit. Authority is like the king’s authority to send someone to jail. While the Power is like the strength to take down the bad guy so you can fulfill the authoritative command to send the bad guy to jail.

Having the baptism of the Holy Spirit is crucial. You get empowered when you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Some theologies believe that you get the baptism of the Holy Spirit when you get water baptized. This is usually false. If you research history, you will find that this is not the case. If you study the Bible, you will see that John the Baptist received the Holy Spirit in his mother’s womb. Then there was Peter who was preaching and those who heard received the baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:44-45).

Not everyone receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit when they get water baptized. Nor do you automatically get the baptism of the Holy Spirit when you get “saved.” Nowhere in the bible does it state that you automatically get the baptism of the Holy Spirit when you perform a specific act. The act of speaking in Tongues is evidence that you have the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Having the baptism of the Holy Spirit gives you the power to operate in your calling (blueprint / purpose in life). It also gives you the power needed to fight against satan and his demons.

Knowing the Names of Demons:

To cast out a demon, you will need to know its name or function.

Every demon has a personal name. When you know its name, then you can gain authority over it.  And when you have authority over it, you can cast it out. Now learning each individual demon’s name is pointless and not needed, because demons go by multiple names.  They also go by their “nickname,” which is called their “function.”

A “function” is what the demon does or specializes in. If the demon’s purpose is to tempt people with lust, then “lust” is that demon’s function; therefore, its nickname. So if you call the demon “lust,” then it will respond.

There exists a demon for every type of sin, sickness, problem, lie, delusion, emotion, and more. You will find that there are demons of silliness, laziness, procrastination, witchcraft, business deals, jokes, addictions, anger, matchmaking (brings people together), religious demons, demmons that tell you to read the Bible, demons that make you want to exercise, vanity, demons that cause you to play games, obsess over things, not care about things, demons that make you feel hungry, and just about anything you can think of.  Their purpose is to kill you spiritually by keeping you away from God. To steal your time, money, joy, and every good thing God has for you. And to destroy anything and everything in your life.

Since demons can operate in every area of your life, then you can easily figure out their functions just by seeing what is going wrong with your life. For example: if you have a headache, then there is likely a demon called “headache” causing the headache or making it worse. If you feel nausea, then there is likely a demon called “nausea” causing it or making it worse. If your child is constantly being disobedient and getting into trouble, then there is a likely a demon of “disobedience” and / or “rebellion” on them. If you feel anger, depression, sadness, hatred, bitterness, or any negative emotion, then there is likely a demon by that name on you causing such an emotion.

Demons like to be involved in every area of your life.

Faith to Cast Out Demons:

In order to be able to cast out demons, you will need the faith to do so. In Matthew 9:29, Jesus tells the person: “Whatever your faith is, let such a thing happen.” This concept is very important, because your faith will dictate those things that you can and cannot do. If you believe that you can cast out a demon, then you can (if the legal grounds are gone and you have the authority to do so). But if you believe that you cannot cast out a demon (for whatever reason), then you won’t be able to.

Demons will work hard to destroy your faith so that you cannot cast them out. Simple words and ideas can easily change a person’s faith. So demons will tell people that they are unable to cast out a demon to change their faith. Previously, I stated that demons talk to people and people assume that those are their “thoughts.” Well, the “thoughts” that you have that convey that you cannot cast out a demon are usually from a demon, and probably from the one that you are trying to cast out.

Demons will use any excuse they can think of to convince you that they cannot be cast out.  They will use other people to try to convince you, too. So, guard your mind and make sure you do not lose your faith to cast them out.

Note: just because a demon does not leave instantly does not mean that you cannot cast it out. Sometimes it takes a while, with lots of fighting, to cast the thing out. Demons tend to go instantly when you are established in the spiritual realm. To be established, you need to cast out a lot of demons. As you cast out demons, you build a reputation. Once your reputation is established and your faith is solid, then demons leave pretty quickly. Until you reach that point, it can take longer for them to leave.

Warfare Against Demons and Casting Them Out

Intro:

We have now reached the point where we can learn about casting out demons and how to deal with them.

There are many different ways to deal with demons.  First, I will go over some of the very basic things that are universally taught.

When casting out a demon, you want to send it to a specific place. If you fail to mention where you want the demon to go, then it can go wherever it wants to go. If not specified, then the demon will linger around you for a little while, then reenter you when it gets its first chance.  Lots of people like to use Bible references, like sending demons to the dry place or even into pigs.

The best place to send them is to the feet of Jesus. When sent there, Jesus decides what to do with them and they will never return to you. Jesus is the judge. He is the one who needs to decide on how to judge demons. We are not the judge; let Him be the judge. There are times when the Holy Spirit will direct you to send demons to places like the Abyss (bottomless pit). If He does, then do so. Always follow the leading of the Holy Spirit over what you are taught.

Casting out Demons:

You will see many people commanding demons to leave when they cast one out. However, I recommend you command the demons to be SENT.  If you command it to leave or to “go,” then it has to leave on its own accord.  Demons are rebellious, so they may not get up and go when you tell them to leave – or they may be slow about leaving. However, if you command a demon to be “sent,” then that means that an angel will take the demon away. This guarantees that the demon is going to leave, and you may see it disappear a lot faster.

So how do you send a demon? You can do this by saying the following:

In the name of Jesus, <demon’s name> I command you to be sent to the feet of Jesus.

So, if the demon’s name is “headache,” then you would say:

In the name of Jesus, headache I command you to be sent to the feet of Jesus.

If you fail to invoke the authority of Jesus by saying, “In the name of Jesus,” then the demon won’t go anywhere.  You have no authority without Jesus, so if you say, “Headache, I command you to leave,” then the demon won’t leave.  Keep this in mind.

Another way to war against demons is to use Tongues. Ask God to remove the demon and pray in tongues. If you feel as though you need to repent for something, then do so.

If a demon is being troublesome and refusing to leave, then ask God to reveal the reason why the demon is there (usually it is due to sin). Then God will bring something to mind or maybe He will show you an image.  Then remove that legal ground.  Then proceed to cast it out.

Conclusion:

To wrap things up: this is how to get a demon out:

1)   Learn its function (name).
2)   Find out if it has legal grounds and remove the legal grounds (usually requires repenting of a sin. If the demon is there due to the body being damaged or sick, they don’t have strong legal grounds to stay.)
3)   Command the demon to be sent to the feet of Jesus. And stand on this command until it is gone.
